[SCA-AE] re: Perfect Pennsic Moments

It's 5:30am. Nature calls. I step out of my tent in the very early
dusk of morning. Blades of grass shown silver with heavy dew in the
morning fog. The curling smoke from the night's bonfire becomes lost
in the mists of morning. Still and heavy, the air is crisp. In the
distance, drums are still sounding and the feint tones of laughter
can be heard.

One can almost imagine an encampment of period outside the walls of
some Moorish city. So quiet, yet full of the sounds one would expect
to encounter during the late night change of the guards at the picket
lines. Fully expecting to hear the whinny of horses.......

It was a fleeting moment, but for that brief period, I went back in
time. The only moment I have experienced like it was at my very first
event almost 17 years ago. We all need more moments like that.
