FWIW... not all Crown Tourney marches are done by the couples' precedence. 
More often than not these days it's done by precedence of the combatant 
only. I think it's because it makes it easier to split the entrants in half 
for the "challenge in" format used to select the pairings for the first 
round.

For some marches, such as for Crown Tournament, when the couples line up as 
couples, you line up based on the highest precedence in the couple (so if 
one is a Duke and the other a Baroness, the couple lines up in the march by 
the Duke's precedence).
