[Puzzles in language change] next meeting: Devitt, Meurman-Solin (attached)

Dear everyone,

Next Wednesday, we will discuss several examples of actual language change
as represented in written texts, focusing on a few cases from Early Modern
Scots.

The readings are Devitt's book, and also an article by Meurman-Solin
attached to this letter. Please take a look at the plots with
trajectories, and if you like, consider also the descriptions of the
linguistic variables plotted in those.
