I didn't have the chance to compile and run the latest sources of OpenSlide, but I had a look at the BIF driver. Is it my impression or is it true that OpenSlide only uses the stitching information to simply calculate a waited average for the tile's dimensions? Does this mean that the final output will still have artifacts, just not as much?
