I have admin (cyrus) rights on the mailbox.<br>

The solution in this case is a<br>

dm user.USERNAME.*<br>
<br>
this seems to remove everything from user USERNAME without the
risk<br>
deleting some similar named user (...USERNAME* can cause some
trouble).<br>
