<body><div>Hi Paolo,<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>It is "20 most recently deleted mailboxes with the same path"<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>So if someone delete/create/deletes "user/bovik/some_folder" over and over again, there will only be a maximum of 20 "DELETED/user/bovik/some_folder/<timestamp>" mailboxes on disk. The older ones are discarded.<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<blockquote type="cite"><div>1) what happens if thirty users delete one mailbox each, all with different names?<br></div>
</blockquote><div><br></div>
<div>Nothing unusual, because each mailbox has only been deleted once<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<blockquote type="cite"><div>2) what happens if we remove 100 accounts and all their tree (dm user/.<xyz>@example.com 100 times)?<br></div>
</blockquote><div><br></div>
<div>For each affected mailbox, there will be only the 20 most recently-deleted "DELETED/user/<a href="mailto:xyz@example.com">xyz@example.com</a>/.../<timestamp>" mailboxes on disk. The first 80 deletions will be gone.<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Cheers,<br></div>

<div> <br></div>
<div>Is it "20 most recently deleted mailboxes regardless of their name"?<br></div>
<div>Or is it "20 most recently deleted mailboxes with the same name"? "... same path"?<br></div>
<div>Or something else?<br></div>
<div> <br></div>
<div>In practice,<br></div>
<div> <br></div>
<div>1) what happens if thirty users delete one mailbox each, all with different names?<br></div>
<div> <br></div>
<div>2) what happens if we remove 100 accounts and all their tree (dm user/.<xyz>@example.com 100 times)?<br></div>
<div> <br></div>
<div>We rely on keeping deleted messages and mailboxes/folders for few days on the filesystem so that recoveries do not hit the backup guys, but can be operated with a simple wrapper to unexpunge.<br></div>
<div> <br></div>
<div>Thank you for clarifications,<br></div>
