MySQL Authentication

Hi,

I'm setting up cyrus IMAP for the first time. I have set
sasl_pwdcheck_method to pam in and I've set pam to get account info
from a table where passwords are in plain text, and usernames are
without @domain extensions.

I can connect via pop, but can authenticate - user unknown. Am I doing
this correctly, and could someone give me a link to some documentation
on cyrus authentication with mysql.
