What I meant was, is there any file with information about currently logged users? For instance, Horde keeps session files at /tmp/. I asked only because "lsof | grep -i imap" showed me nothing. I've never underestimated my ability to write code containing entertaining bugs, but I'm really not sure what imapproxy would be doing to cause something like this. imapproxy *should* just be passing along exactly what the client is sending. Of course, I should be a handsome millionaire but things didn't work out that way. I've never looked at Sun messaging, but it would be very helpful if their product allows you to watch the protocol. That would give you the ability to see what's being sent by imapproxy vs. when you don't use it. If Sun messaging doesn't allow you to do this, imapproxy will allow you to enable protocol logging for a given user if you have enable_admin_commands enabled in imapproxy.conf. Your conf file doesn't show it, but since you bind only to localhost, it should be safe for you to enable. Once you do, you can then turn on logging for someusername by doing the following: $ telnet your.imapproxyserver.com 14300 c64 P_TRACE someusername c128 logout Then just watch the logs when that user logs in: $ tail -f /var/log/imapproxy_protocol.log This should at least show you if imapproxy is obviously mangling something that the client is sending to it. Thanks, Dave
