There are still openings to join us for our Alice 3 workshop at Carnegie Mellon University. Please join us for an in depth look at how to use and teach with Alice 3. For those that have been using Alice but haven’t had dedicated time to get more comfortable or learn about all of the great possibilities.<br class=""><br class="">This workshop is designed for teachers and mentors of students from upper elementary school through first-year college-level with little or no experience with Alice and / or computer programming. Working with nationally recognized experts in Alice 3, a tool developed at Carnegie Mellon, teachers in this workshop will learn how to use the Alice 3 programming environment for teaching fundamental programming concepts. We will also explore how Alice 3 can be used in multi-disciplinary courses and projects, discuss the development and implementation of curriculum, mapping to standards, and explore the support materials available to teachers for use with Alice.<br class=""><br class="">It is scheduled to run July 16th to the 20th. Cost is $275. If the registration cost is the only thing holding you back please contact us and we will see if we can work with you to find a way bridge the gap.<br class=""><br class="">Workshop participants should plan to arrive in Pittsburgh on Sunday, July 15 and depart Friday, July 20.
