You can take advantage of the 3D nature of Alice and build the forest scene in front of the camera position, the snowman scene to the right of the camera, and the ogre scene to the left of the scene, and then turn the camera. It is possible to change ground textures( from grass to snow for example) and the lighting within the program as you turn the camera to face the new scene.</div><div class="yiv8212120742"><br clear="none" class="yiv8212120742"></div><div class="yiv8212120742">But because the code in each scene is in myFirstMethod, each student will have to access the same project file to add their code.</div><div class="yiv8212120742"><br clear="none" class="yiv8212120742"></div><div class="yiv8212120742">As an example of the difficulties encountered when trying to merge, remember that Goldilocks starts at different locations and different orientations in each scene (as is the ogre). Which means her moves would not work as originally planned. The other machine does not have to be the same platform, as a project created with the Windows version of Alice should be able to be opened on a Mac or Linux machine.<br clear="none" class="yiv8212120742"><br clear="none" class="yiv8212120742">A word of caution if saving to the cloud, and then trying to use a web browser to download the Alice file. Alice project files (.a2w or .a3p) are actually compressed files and some browsers will recognize this and try to uncompress the files, making them unusable in Alice. I am not sure why, but it seemed to solve the problem of it crashing and losing work.
