The best advice is to learn the products you use in class. Programming is a combination of art, logic, design, and innovation. If you can't find a way in a textbook to make something work, then take what you have and write some code using the available tools to make it happen. You can't find an answer in a book if it hasn't been tried.
Moving and/or turning the camera with zero duration or fade is a good way to accomplish the task. You will notice, however, that the lighting and shadows will change slightly when you flip.

Now Innovate:
The attached example uses a different technique to accomplish the task using markers, and is done with no camera movement. I'm using 3.2.5.0.0 on 64-bit Win7 box, and did run into a possible BUG (after completing the first run the ground went white with a rendering error in setup pane (not the execution pane). I had to close Alice3, and reload the world to get the original Ground paint back. Hopefully, the development team can address this problem.

Mike Owen

> From: alice-teachers-request@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
> Subject: alice-teachers Digest, Vol 56, Issue 2
> To: alice-teachers@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
> Date: Wed, 15 Apr 2015 12:00:14 -0400
>
> Send alice-teachers mailing list submissions to
> alice-teachers@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
>
> To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit
> https://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/mailman/listinfo/alice-teachers
> or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to
> alice-teachers-request@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
>
> You can reach the person managing the list at
> alice-teachers-owner@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
>
> When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific
> than "Re: Contents of alice-teachers digest..."
>
>
> Today's Topics:
>
> 1.
