Hey all,

I'm trying to record content from the Alice VR player while it is being
used with an Oculus Rift S headset.

1024 x 768 is a good resolution where the text bubbles don't get cut off.

If I increase it to a higher resolution (e.g., 2560 x 1440), it changes the
aspect ratio on the desktop player and can cut off text bubbles at the top
of the screen. It still looks fine on the VR headset.

Is there a way to increase the resolution on the desktop player while
maintaining the same 1.33:1 aspect ratio? For example, 1915 x 1440 would be
a higher resolution but the same aspect ratio as 1024 x 768.

Happy end of the semester! Season's Greetings!
The updated Alice Player beta 19, coupled with *.a3w files exported from
ALice 3.7 , is stuck in the "built with Unity" blackscreen when loading in
the headset.
The desktop shows the ALice Player and can launch an *.a3w from the desktop
but the VR gets even more unhappy. Any ideas? I'm on this all day and this
week if anyone wants to collaborate,

I've had similar issues with my Oculus Rift 2 when connected to a desktop
that I didn't have with an older player, but I'm not convinced that there
isn't some confounding factor.

Adam,

We also got the "built with Unity" blackscreen infinite load immediately
after updating the Quest to version 47.  Online reports say that v47 breaks
Oculus developer mode:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/zbir7d/developer_mode_stopped_working_after_update/
We don't yet know if the fix will come with a future Meta update or if
there is something we need to do on our end. We are checking for updates
and will keep you posted.

Thank you Bill and Melanie! The Meta update was not an option so if/when
CMU needs help please let me know. This is an important culminating project
for the Programming 1 courses here.
I'll try to use the older player that was friendlier w/ Alice 3.6 and
report back.
