He was working on a homework assignment that I gave that is similar to ?Magnet Fun? from the Dann-Cooper-Pausch book. Here are the steps to reproduce the bug: 1. Create a new project. 2. Add an object (I used Mjolnir). 3. Add an adultPerson. 4. Set the vehicle of Mjolnir to the person?s wrist joint. 5. In myFirstMethod, call this.adultPerson.setAdultPersonResource with any look. 6. Run the project. Mjolnir disappears. See attached Alice project. ? We have just migrated to a new translation platform that we hope will make it far easier for people to help us translate Alice into more languages making it even easier for people around the world to enjoy and learn using Alice. I wanted to reach out to our community to try to enlist any of you (or people you know) to help volunteer in translating Alice 3. If you are interested or want something to share out to people in your network that you think could help give this a read: http://www.alice.org/alice-needs-your-help-translating/ or jump straight here to find to how to get started: https://github.com/TheAliceProject/alice3/wiki/Contributing-to-Translation-Efforts And of course feel free to reach out directly to me if you have any questions. It looks like the IL SOPPA law is not quite as clear-cut as I was lead to believe, but my district is leery due to Facebook's general privacy practices. Despite this, I'm working hard to convince them that we need to find some solution that doesn't involve throwing away all our district's Oculus hardware. My understanding is that the Oculus only accounts aren't explicitly compliant but would probably slip by in many schools because the IL SOPPA law isn't really written to apply to non-educational products and companies. That being said, it is much easier to get a school or district to sign on to a product if it is affirmatively compliant with typical educational privacy policies. I have entertained the idea of setting up a bunch of trees near the player?s starting point, and then using a program to move them to a new place as the player gets far away from them. This may or may not be easier than just creating a bunch of trees in the scene setup. James ? What I ended up doing is I pointed the camera a the ground and set the y of the camera to 225 because that was the highest I could go without losing sight of the ground. I placed some objects at specific coordinates for the border and then filled in trees inside the area from a great height. I also used the alt-drag method to quickly copy trees. I have to say that so far, I am tremendously impressed. Simply importing a simple program into the player really allows you to appreciate it with a whole extra dimension. So far, I found the player to be very stable, and it feels like more of a finished product than the one I experienced at CSTA in summer 2019. Kudos to all involved.
